The Directors of Kit or Caboodle, Pete Barford and Bans Learoyd, both live in Northamptonshire and have joined forces to provide a range of event services both locally and nationally.

Pete had a career in lighting for 15 years working with Starlight (now Starlight Design) and Fisher Lighting (now Fisher Productions) in London. He was involved in the latter company expanding from a small event lighting company to a full service production company satisfying the event requirements of many blue chip companies.

Pete then pursued a freelance career and worked in the production field under contract with Vanity Fair magazine, producing events for the editorial side of the business in locations around the world.

Pete currently continues with his work for Vanity Fair, is an active freelance Production Director/Manager and works as a lighting designer for an architectural firm in New York. He brings 30 years of event experience to Kit or Caboodle and is looking forward to helping you with your next project.

Bans' commercial background is in PR and publishing. She worked for a FMCG public relations agency in London, The PR Connection, handling accounts in the food sector. She then became a project manager for an educational publisher in Cambridge, co-ordinating the production of industry-sponsored materials for schools.

Bans has project management experience from initial concept research and planning through to coordinating and implementation. Her natural thoroughness led her to become a qualified freelance proofreader and her attention to detail is a key asset in successful event planning.
